Antonina Samoilova, a Ukrainian mountaineer who has conquered the world’s highest peaks, has become the new face of Dukachi’s Edelweiss collection.

Born in 1988, she began climbing only in 2018 with the ascent of Kilimanjaro, before achieving a series of firsts in the Himalayas and setting records.

Beyond being an athlete, Samoilova has become a symbol of her country's resilience. While she was in Mexico for a climb when the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022, she chose to use her expeditions as a global platform.

Edelweiss is one of the hardiest flowers on the planet, growing high in the mountains, among snow and rocks.

For Dukachi, it symbolised strength of spirit, delicacy, and beauty. This small, fluffy white flower is much more than a simple rock plant; it is a true living myth, shaped by the harshness of the peaks and human romanticism.

This flower, which grows wild in the Ukrainian Carpathians, resonates with the national identity and patriotic pride that the mountaineer proudly champions worldwide.

By associating her image with this jewellery line, Samoilova perfectly embodied Dukachi's message: the unique alliance of immense aesthetic delicacy and an indomitable strength of spirit, capable of thriving despite adversity.
