The Maria collection is dedicated to Mariia Zankovetska, a defining figure of Ukrainian theater in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The collection captures the very moment of her appearance on stage - the instant she stands before the audience, gathered to see and hear her.
The design of the pieces echoes the architectural layout of the Mariia Zankovetska Theatre in Lviv -its spatial rhythm and stage orientation. The silhouette incorporates the motif of theater curtains, the element that framed each of her entrances.
The gemstones are set in a semicircle, reflecting the shape of the theater’s seating. Diamonds and rubies are arranged according to the theater’s actual floor plan: rubies in the “front row” symbolize those closest to her, while the red accents gradually disperse outward, mirroring the positioning of the audience.
Each piece is crafted in 14K gold and set with diamonds and rubies.
